clothes swap and genderbent sorin and rias. i thought this was the first time i drew them clothes swapped, but i noticed in an old timelapse replay that i did doodle rias in sorin’s clothing once before. i’ve never given them alternative outfits (except a plain hoodie for rias), so it’s weird to see them like this. i’ll say the clothes swap isn’t entirely faithful since i couldn’t bring myself to draw sorin with his arm bare. i didn’t put much thought into the genderbent, mainly because i don’t believe there would be much of a difference.
sorin and rias don't exist in any particular space at any particular time, so it feels weird drawing them interacting in real world environments past a bedroom. the portraits in the first drawing are mock-ups of a visual novel/rpg headshot. the third drawing is a potential scene of a hypothetical story that exists in my brain merely as a thought. the composition is inspired by an art piece i found and its what ultimately motivated me to bring this scene to life. they don't have a story and i prefer to keep it that way but i won't hold myself back from indulging in the idea.
rias sketches. when i wanna draw mindlessly, i automatic to drawing rias and his scars. sketching his hair also scratches an itch. his eyes too... such a self indulgent design, i could never hate drawing him lol
more sorin and rias. i referenced a base for the first drawing. nearing the end of the month, i had a significant switch up from the way i usually draw them. they’re the two ocs that mirror my mood the most, but i’d never really let that show by putting them in a softer, more comforting setting. it was a refreshing change, though it made me wish my artistic approach wasn't so restricted by how i felt.
